I finally put the first word in, and start created my very own blog just for you !!!!
I went back on cooking and created a youtube cooking channel less than a year ago. A lot of people told me that I should create a blog as well. I was not sure to be ready for a blog. It is very personnel and takes a lot of time. It is not just a recipe to put on a blog, it’s an experience some souvenirs … But I liked the idea and since I said Yes to myself. Every day it was like “I must do it today ” and then, for a recipe to another, I just found myself filming in the kitchen, editing for my youtube channel taking care of those little kids (4), the house, the husband the routine and that is it! The day is over and the blog has still not been created.
But today that is it. Today I am going to sit down and share with you my lovely recipes.
Anyway, I am going to try to be very explicit, I think that it is going to be my biggest challenge as my English is very far to be perfect.
As my blog’s name shown, I am a Frenchy lady coming from Paris to be more precise.
I was one of those children who grow up surrounded by food. My Family had many restaurants back in the days and I was always the one to hide somewhere in the kitchen watching my Uncle sending orders, watching him finishing the plate. I use to be impressed by how fast they use to cut all the ingredients and so small!!!!! How he used to put this little final touch to the plate that MADE the plate. He was so professional so passionate.
We used to have a restaurant just under our apartment. It was very easy for me to go and hide over there. I will always remember hiding under the register watching customer arrive and look at mom welcoming them. Oh Gosh, she was so beautiful….. So yes that how I got the love of cooking (in a short way )
I started working at a very young age, from the host to the waitress, it’s in the kitchen that I found myself the more comfortable. My uncle let me be in the prep area of one of his restaurant “LE SUD” Amazing place in the middle of Paris where customers used to come and feel like in the south of France … From the bouillabaisse to the Tian of vegetable The finest fish used to be served there I learned with my mom how to work with doughs and how to bake delicious dessert. And that where all started. I left for Orlando Florida. My mom’s friend gave me the opportunity to go work in Epcot Center (Disney world) at the French Pavillon with the most famous French chefs: Bocuse, Verger Lenotre. What a beautiful experience I had there. I wish it had never ends. Tarte Tatin. Apple Tart. Onion Soup , leg frog … The real french food. The list can go on and on. But it was just for a year or so. Then back in France, I went and worked in sumptuous restaurant named ” La Maison Blanche ” From The Pourcel’s Brother. Still in the Kitchen, it was there a Gourmet experience the finest fish the veggies that I had never seen before the dressing that took so many steps to create. Yes, again it was a lucky experience. I was also part of the first restaurant that introduced in Paris the famous “Coca- Cola Chicken ” Oh My what a big thing it was at that time, I just can’t forget the huge machine that they use to have to make this Coca-cola chicken with. I finish my Parisian culinary experience at my friend’s restaurant. He asked me if I wanted to come work for him and I took to opportunity there to really express myself. His restaurant was famous for his “Tournedos Rossini” this delectable piece of filet mignon topped with a scrumptious whole piece of “foie gras” and finished with some black truffle and an amazing glace sauce to finish the plate, often served with a homemade puree for “accompaniment “.
My Sejour in France arrived at an end the day when my brother in- law asked me to go to LA. He wanted me to open a french Bistro, downtown LA. Oh, I was so so happy. My dreams were to come back to the State. What an opportunity such a young girl having this beautiful project to make on her own. Decor Menu Name Suppliers and the list goes on and on … The real dream. So yes I said YES and here I was putting all those things together until the days I met my Soulmate on the job site, looking for a contractor to make the place… At the very first time, I just said Yes to him leaving all my aprons knife and kitchen behind… My all life changed. From a future restaurant entrepreneur, I become a wife then a mother of 4 and then a superwoman (lol!!!) As all the mothers in the whole wide world. My Tournedos Rossini has become a peas puree and pasta without nothing in it LOL!!!! My kids don’t like nothing else than pasta ( without anything, Rice (without anything ) Meat but just with salt pepper and on the grill.
After 15 years without “anything”, Another day couldn’t go by without creating real delicious scrumptious amazing food again
So I step in the kitchen, roll up my sleeves put on my apron … And here I am Feeding my neighbors my husband, my friends, and family… Filming and editing for my new youtube channel And still waiting for my kids to tell me that they finally want to eat MY food
And today for you, reader, for you who are looking for the right recipe to make here I am back to my roots sharing with you the little recipe that I got from here and there.
Hoping that you will have a bless creating it making it baking it and give me your feedback.
This new project is real, it is really happening and I can not wait to leave it with you all!!!!
