Crock pot Sweet and salty Brisket

It is the most tender and juicy brisket I have made so far. I am so glad to have put together such a delightful recipe. For sure you know how satisfied it is when your guest does not stop telling you how good the dish is!!! Yes, I got so many compliments this recipe is a Winner!!!

So let just get into it right away.

I found it on facebook on a cooking group. I would have loved to say thank you to the author but unfortunately, I don’t have her/his name. The recipe calls for a saucepan but to tell you the truth I just love making meat in the crockpot. Whatever meat I will put inside this little magic machine it will come out incredibly tender.

Also, you can certainly pour everything in the crockpot and let the machine do it all, but I decided to work a little that day so here is how I did it.

Serve 6-8 peoples

Ingredients

3.5 Pound Brisket

5 onion finely sliced

10 Crushed garlic cloves

10 small white potatoes cut in 4

1 can (12 oz) Beer

1 Cup Whole Berry Cranberry sauce

1/2 Cup Ketchup

1/4 Cup Flour

2 Tbsp olive oil ×2

1 Tbsp Paprika

Salt and Pepper

Proceed

In a saucepan put your onion to sautee with 2 tbsp of olive oil until nicely Browned. Pour it into the crockpot along with the potatoes.

In a small bowl combine the crushed garlic with paprika salt and pepper, rub the meat and sear 8 to 10 minutes on each side on a medium-low heat. Place it on top of the potatoes.

In a bowl mix together: ketchup, cranberry sauce, and beer. Combine until all dissolved.

Pour it to the crockpot cover and let it cook on hight between 6 to 8 hours.

I like to put 1 to 2 thick kitchen towel.

When it’s finished pull out the meat and let it sit for at least 10 minutes before cutting. You won’t need a knife. believe me.

I served it with some oven-roasted brussel sprout.

Now if you want to make it in the oven just pour it all into an oven pan cook uncovered at 350 for 1 hour. Reduce temperature to 300 F seal it tightly and continue for 3 hours or until meat tender

Voila. Here you have it a memorable brisket recipe. Sweet and juicy it was scrumptious.
