Welcome! Are you ready to create a delicious paella dish? This classic Spanish dish has been around for centuries, but you can put your own spin on it by mixing up the ingredients. Whether you choose the traditional shellfish and white wine base or opt for the more modern chicken and sausage version, you’re sure to have a delectable meal. Let’s get started by taking a look at the ingredients and instructions.
For 6-8 peoples
16 chicken drums
1 pack kabana ( dry sausage)
1 large green pepper
1 large red pepper
1 large onion
2 large red tomato
2 tbsp tomato paste
3 garlic clove
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 cup frozen peas
1 full cup of white rice ( i personally use uncle bens)
2 and 1/4 cup boiling water
- Gather and prepare all of the materials and ingredients needed for the recipe.
- Read through the entire recipe to make sure you understand all of the steps.
- Saute the chicken in a saucepan or in the oven with oil until golden brown.
- Wash and cut the bell peppers into slices and saute until golden brown.
- Cut the onion into small dice, saute until tender, and then add the wine to the onion and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken and bell peppers to the onion mixture, along with 1/4 cup of water, cover, and let it cook for about 20 minutes.
- Peel and shred the tomatoes to make a sauce and add the tomato paste, salt, and pepper.
- Rinse the rice and put it in a saucepan along with the tomato mixture, the chicken, and the bell peppers.
- Add the saffron leaves, the juice from the first pan, the peas, and the kabana (cut into chunks), and cover it with water.
- Bring to a boil, cover, reduce the heat, and let it cook for 20-30 minutes. Taste and add more salt if necessary.
- Let the dish rest for 10 minutes and then serve. Enjoy!
